A Brief Introduction to Car Wax
Some people like to joke and say that a clean car drives better than a dirty car. Whether or not this is true, a clean car still doesn’t offer any protection for the vehicles exterior unless it’s been properly treated with car wax. This ubiquitous substance, overlooked by many car owners, deserves some recognition that we at Tipotex Chevrolet intend to give it.
There are many different types of car wax available. The most common type comes in a paste-like consistency that you can apply to your vehicle using a microfiber cloth or orbital buffer. You can also buy liquid wax that is suspended in a solution that you spray over the surface of your car and allow to dry.
No matter how you apply wax to your vehicle, though, its purpose is the same: to protect your vehicles clear coat from damage in Brownsville. Without this protection in place, your clear coat can develop microscopic scratches, pits, and other imperfections that can give your vehicles exterior a hazy appearance. That’s why periodic application of wax should be a crucial part of your car care routine.
